Removing hidden browser from bottom of external monitor?
Hi All,
I am running Capture One 11 and also 9.3 depending on what engine a session was created in. I use a Macbook Pro laptop plugged into an Eizo screen which sits just above the laptop. I set the arrangements of the screens to reflect that position, but I'm having the following problem:
- when I move the mouse from the laptop screen up to the Eizo screen where I have the Viewer window, if it travels near the hide arrow for the browser images on the Eizo, the browser will unhide and cover up the bottom of the preview image in the viewer. Is there a way to remove the browser on the second monitor, or move it to the right so that the mouse won't activate it when passing over?
I'm also having issues when Option-dragging files from one folder to another to copy them - often Capture One won't copy them, it will instead move them entirely from where they were to the new location, so I can go back and find they aren't there anymore. If I realise this is happening, I just drag them, without holding down Option, and they are copied instead!
Any ideas if this is a bug?
One final annoyance, which I'm not sure happens with v.11, but was happening in v.9 is that when I Control click on Capture folder to create a new subfolder for the first time, it makes a folder which isn't a child of the parent folder, but it will do it for subsequent tries. Anyone else have this?

In the view menu you can select "Place Browser Right" to put it on the right side of the screen. I'm not certain if you can completely disable the browser from only the second monitor.
If you are dragging and dropping from one folder to another folder on the same hard drive you will need to hold down Control (or option or command) to copy the image. But if you drag and drop from one hard drive to another hard drive it will automatically copy the file and pressing control will move it instead of copy it.
Yes, the folder thing happens to me as well. Sometime it only shows the option to create a new Capture Folder as opposed to creating a new folder. I'm not certain why this happens but I agree, it is annoying. I notice sometimes it is the difference between trying to make a new folder in 'Session Folders' vs 'System Folders', but other times it doesn't seem to matter.0 -
Thanks for your responses. I thought the place browser right option only referred to the main window not the viewer window, I’ll have to give it a try.
Thanks for your other info.0
