May I ask what Color Editor masking bug?
I have been using that functionality without any problem so there must be something I am missing. I may have missed the thread discussing it as well (assuming there is one).0 -
Often - but not always - mask layer created from color editor disappear after close/reopen catalog. Exactly, the layer is here, but no mask at all. 0 -

According to the release notes, only two OS versions are being supported anyhow but it doesn't claim to be optimized for one of the two.Mac OS X 10.10.5 or 10.11.x

Hello,
problem when masking from color editor
when creating a mask from the color editor on a flipped image, the mask will be created but will not be flipped.
Am I doing something wrong or is that a bug with the update?
also, I found that the preview in the browser bar shows the image flipped but the masks unflipped, making the preview image showing masked adjustments in the wrong places.0 -

I think you may need to take that one to a Support Case.

There's definitely something wrong with masks when an image is flipped vertically.
I'm using 9.0.1 on Windows and if I draw a mask on an image and then flip the image vertically, the masks looks correct for about a second, but then it gets flipped into the wrong position. Flipping the image horizontally looks OK.
I checked with 8.3.4 and that behaves the same.0 -
There's another issue with creating a mask from a color selection, and I've filed a support case. This is reproducible on many images on my machine, and another user has reproduced this on his own images on his machine. The problem is still in 9.0.1.
When using the Color Picker to select a white or near-white color, the editor correctly shows the selected color, but no mask is created when we try to create a mask from the color. Examples: a barn owl's white features; snow against a forest background, where textural detail is clearly visible.
Support suggested that the picker won't work properly for blown out colors, but the colors I've picked are definitely not blown out as indicated in the histogram and warning blinkies (no blinkies show). I've also tried adjusting the color selection using the Color Editor's sliders, and that doesn't help. White and near white are the only colors I've had this problem with so far.0
