CaptureOne duplicating raw files
Hi there,
I would like to ask if anyone is facing the same problem as I am (with tethered shooting) and if there has been a solution already for this problem. My software version is 7.1.2.
I was shooting tethered on my laptop with P45+. After the shoot, I copied the entire session to my iMac (also running 7.1.2). Both versions of Mac OS are similar. Upon opening the session, C1 Pro duplicates all my tagged raw files. The untagged ones are spared. If I were to delete one of the files, the other will be deleted as well and the thumbnails will reflect a "?". Is anyone facing this problem (of duplication). Thanks!

Best tip I can give you is to stay current with updates of CO7 (7.1.6 as of today). Next, create a new session and see what happens. 0 -
Are the machines networked together?
I'm not a Mac user but if this was happening on a Windows system I would assume that I had either 2 "favourite" (or whatever) folders pointing to the the same source folder OR something like an Album that was replicating a subset of the source folder (for example just the processed files) but still pointing to the same place.
I would guess that this last suggestion could also happen if you copy was entirely isolated (in terms of NOT having an active network between the machines) since it could simply be set up within a session.
I'm not sure how that would relate only to tethered shooting. Reading your description suggests that the effect appears after your tethered session is complete. However it may be something to do with how the session is set up on the tethered machine.
HTH.
