importing images into email
My current method of getting images from CO7 to email is to export to the desktop and then I right click the image that gives a drop down with an email facility. However, I have run into an issue whereby the Image Size Drop Down in the email only works with the "Actual Size." Small, Medium and Large just give a 10kb thumbnail. The images on my desktop is a 4MB file. This problem doesn't occur when I use A3 - it is specific to CO7. Cheers, jp

In CO6 i use the quickproof recipe to email, setting my email client as open with target, a new email is created with the file attached. Perhaps create an email recipe in CO7 with the file size you like and set to open with your preferred email client, maybe that would work. 0 -
Thanks Tom. Let me give this a try and I'll get back to you. Cheers, jp 0 -
Great, thank you Tom. This works very well. I really appreciate your help. Cheers, jp 0 -
Oops! I tested the system with one image which worked fine. I've just tried multiple images and I see that each image opens a totally new email. Is there a way to get several images into the one email? I created an output recipe using Open With Email. Cheers, jp 0 -
Sorry for the delay. I mostly use this with our work system so I use Entourage which will attach all to one email. It slipped my mind that when I have used it offsite and need to use Mail, it does generate separate emails. Don't know for sure why the clients react differently. If you are handy with Automator perhaps you could create a folder action for your "email" recipe target folder. Sorry I can't be of more help. 0 -
Thanks Tom. Technology is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately I have difficulty keeping up with it. I haven't familiarised myself with Automator. Doing so might push me over the brink. I have discovered that sending images to my desktop in various file formats give different results when I flick them through from the desktop to email. Jpeg2000 works. NEF's don't. So I have an answer but it is rather a convoluted process compared to a click of a button in A3. jp 0
