3.7.7 Crashes a lot with P45+
I've been experiencing frequent crashes of 3.7.7 since I upgraded to a P45+. It crashes most often when checking focus or when processing files. It happens on both my MacBook Pro (2GB ram), and my MacPro (5GB ram).
Any ideas besides wait for v4?

Unfortunately there seem to be some issues with 3.7.7 and the Intel machines. I haven't had the same problems on our G5 towers. Hoping that they release a 3.7.8 soon as I imagine v4 is a ways off.. 0 -
HI Jeff-
We do have some reports on crashing on our known issue list with the plus units, which has to do with the IIQ file set up.

Crashing should be addressed as a support case. On our webpage navigate to support and create a case, you may want to attach a crash log as well.
Please read the following http://www.phaseone.com/HOME/Content/Su ... 20-%20Main
Please give exact detail on where you are in the tools when it crashes
We do now have a version 4.0 beta that you can download and work with your plus files. And may be a viable workaround.
Kind regards-

Hello JRA:
Thank you for your response. While it may be a known issue, it's a very serious issue. Having the software crash while shooting on location with rapidly changing light is not acceptable especially given the huge amount of time it can take to restart the software. I hesitate to check focus now since that's when it crashes mostly. v4 Beta is useless to me, as you know. No tethered shooting, no sessions, and no LCC.
I hope to see 3.7.8 out very quickly with a solution to this problem.0 -
Jeffrey-
The known issue I mention has to do with the IIQ set up.
Best to create a support case and delve into the issues of whats going on with your current workflow with the focus tool crash, your system and where and when you crash. This does not seem follow the current known issue.

JRA...
Is there a planned 3.7.8 release to fix the known problems with 3.7.7 ??0 -
Hi Erik-
Jon answered you here: http://forum.phaseone.com/viewtopic.php?t=3977
Other bugs will be addressed in 3.78, but at this moment I don't have confirmation on which ones. The truth is testing and collection of data, including the fix can be right up to prior of the release on some of this issues. Keep checking the known issues list for updates.
Kind regards-

Thanks JRA. I saw his response. I'm very happy to know we don't have to wait for v4 Pro for our issues to be addressed. Thanks! 0
