Sony RX100 VII as connected

Hi all

I just bought Capture One 12 pro for Sony device and I saw that the current version I installed is handling my new Sony RX100 VII camera.

When I connect my camera to my Mac the content of the SD card is automatically recognized and Capture one propose me to import it no worry.

But on the left side of the screen I see several tool boxes which indicate that no camera are connected yet even though my camera is connected physically to my iMac

The setting connection of my camera is mass storage

What's the problem there ?

  Hello,
  For Capture One to tether, you will need to change the USB connection settings.
  
  Attaching a supported camera to Capture One [1*]
  Please refer to the camera’s instruction manual for details on the appropriate connection method. For example, the Sony ILCE-7M2 (Alpha a7 II) has four menu options for USB connection (Auto (default), Mass Storage, MTP and PC Remote). In this instance, the camera should be set to PC Remote. When the connection has been established all the camera settings that are selected in Capture One are transferred to the camera, and, similarly, the same settings made directly on the camera are transferred to Capture One. Therefore you can choose between operating the camera remotely, or normally with the software running in the background.
  
  On Sony RX100 VII camera;
  select the MENU button> (Setup) >[USB Connection] > [PC Remote] and then connect the camera to your
  computer.
  
  Sony USB connection options [2*]
  Selects what will happen when you connect your SonyRX100 VII.
  
  Auto: Establishes a Mass Storage or MTP connection automatically, depending on the computer or other USB devices to be connected. Windows 7 or Windows 8 computers are connected in MTP, and their unique functions are enabled for use.
  
  Mass Storage: Establishes a Mass Storage connection between this product, a computer, and other USB devices.
  
  MTP: Establishes an MTP connection between this product, a computer, and other USB devices. Windows 7 or Windows 8 computers are connected in MTP, and their unique functions are enabled for use.
  
  PC Remote: Uses “Remote Camera Control" to control this product from the computer, including such functions as shooting and storing images on the computer

  Followed your instructions and once I plug my Sony RX100 M7 with the +USB cable Capture One recognized it immediately 😄
  
  Capture One proposed me to save my device as registered device which I obviously accepted
  
  And here it is all boxes where you can use to manage the camera are usable
