Does anyone have any knowledge if the new Pentax 645X will be able to work with Capture One (tethering or importing directly via card?

Yep Sorry
Pentax 645Z
Wondering if Capture will support it?0 -
It would be great if C1 would accept the 645Z to run native, since I still feel that C1 is the best program of it kind, I seriously doubt it will be "allowed." 0 -
Never going to happen..... The camera is direct comeptition for the P1 cameras @ 1/3 of the price. It would very very classy for Phase to support it but I would not hold my breath. Who knows.... 0 -
I'm wondering this myself. Will the 645Z be supported or is Phase One going to try and lock out the direct competitor to their own IQ250? Maybe a mod can answer this? 0 -
Please see Ulf's answer here: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=16480&p=77802
The same answer goes for the 645z.0 -
That answer states that Capture One currently does not support Hasselblad files. We already know that the same is true for the Pentax 645D and 645Z. The question was: will Capture One support Pentax 645 files in the future?
I'm asking because Capture One currently does support files from about a dozen other Pentax cameras, as well as files from about 10 other manufacturers including Leica. Is it Phase One's policy that Capture One will support cameras from other manufacturers as much as possible, as long as they are not medium format cameras?0 -
Well I've been waiting for long for C1 to support the 645D…
Reading the "official" reply (mentioned up there):Re: Hasselblad .FFF support in Capture One

Hi
It is correct that Capture One do not support Hasselblad files but nor does Sinar Capture Shop.
Same can be said that Hasseblad Phocus does not support Phase One, Sinar or Leica. (Here you should ignore Mac OS based conversation)
When purchasing a solution, you are buying a complete solution, both hardware and software.
You are welcome to contact one of our resellers to upgrade your gear to Phase One and then you can use Capture One, even in the free of charge DB version.

Phase One
I doubt C1 will ever support the Pentax MF soon (or ever)!
I had to switch to another SW which, when you know it well, do brings stunning results…0 -
Is someone tried dng from pef 645z (adobe dng converter) in capture one ? 0 -
Pentax 645Z DNG files open in Capture One, but identify the camera as a Ricoh DNG Generic.
Choose the IQ250 camera profile (same sensor and DACs)
This is what you get:

Photoshop on the right and Capture One on the left.
Supporting at least 645Z files should be just as simple as supporting other cameras.
It's rely rather strange that Capture One comes with all sorts of camera file support including Pentax files and cameras, yet not the Pentax 645Z.
A camera with the same sensor and built in DACs as the IQ250 should be relatively simple to support.
The DNG files open OK with a little bit of tinkering as it is......
In this shot you there is no apparent difference between the Ricoh GND generic and the IQ250 profile for this file....0 -
Ya, I agree. They go through a lot of trouble to not support other MF cameras. I opened a lot of support cases about it and they just finger point. Others say well the other MF manufactures do not support our stuff, and I call B.S. on that. Yes the other MF manufactures do not support any other cameras while CO supports a bunch. If Hasselblad supported all but Phaseone, then OK maybe they have something, but they only support Hasselblad. Nikon only support Nikon in NX
