Error message 0c000080 - connection
Using Capture One Pro build 2784 tethered to a Canon 1DSMKII I get an error code 0c00080 if the cable comes loose and is reattached. Tried several things, restarted software, new fw cable, dumped preferences, repaired permissions, and restarted G5 Quad, only the full restart will get things going again, does anyone have any thoughts.

Von,
This is general communication error. Sometimes firmware related and other times in-camera setting.

Let us know how this goes.

Von - there is a plastic FW adapter that should make the cable sit more tight . Unfortunately in my opinion it doesn't work that good (= it is a piece of crap , but maybe it works for you ) .
Should be available through your Canon dealer .
I got mine for free ( costs around 4 $ ) .
I'm very familiar with the problem you describe .
It made me almost mad some months ago .
I made a recent shoot with the same set up tethered to a intel MacBook Pro , and
didn't get any lost connections at all , so strange enough , on older computer there must be some software issue above sensitivity for looose cable .0
