This is indeed an error message which I have seen rarely here these days. Your signature states you are running OS X 10.5.6. Did you update that already? Another question: what action are you in when the error occurs? Shooting tethered? Selecting and adjusting?

    I'm running C1 4.8.3 on a 2.93 Mac Pro Quad core with 8Gb RAM running OS 10.5.8
The session I'm using has 6 nested folders with a total of approx 1500 images, with a mix of P25+ and D300 RAW only files.
This is not the first time I've had this happen.
I was just making an adjustment to a group of 20 images when it happened this time.
My output profile was set to sRGB for web and I have Proof profile set to Adobe RGB

Might have to do with the amount of images in your session (though I think 1500 is not excessive). Have you already discussed this with your Phase One representative or Phase One support staff (opening a case).

The only tip I can come up with is to keep an eye on a OS X's Activity Monitor, System Memory tab, click on Capture One process (assuming it is running), monitor amount of memory in the RSIZE column. Not an everyday photographers tool but very helpful in troubleshooting. My suspicion is that a value of 2 GB is its max. and beyond that it crashes.

Although I do not process such amounts of images I do restart CO4 when I have been going through several hundreds of images in different folders due to CO4's nature of fattening up memory, slowing down overall performance (I have only 3 GB RAM, system's max.)
