Are there a particular group of files that would be worth deleting/moving from a existing v7 install that may effect the v8 experience? Thinking preferences, caches, etc that may be used by v8 that could cause stability or functionality issues.

  Nope.
  We write new ones that Capture One 8 can only reference.
