Opening a session in OSX Lion, opens previous as well.
When I navigate to a session in my finder and click it to open it, why does the last session I was working on open with the one I clicked. It's annoying especially when I am on location and have to wait for both sessions to open and load before I can close the one I'm not using.
Lion has some serious issues by the way with disk permissions.

CO6 can open multiple sessions in their respective windows, or work exclusively with one session at a time. You can control this behavior from the preferences and from the New Session dialog ('Open in new window' checkbox).[quote="NN8896711" wrote:

Perhaps you mind sharing your opinions beyond an oblique 'by the way' statement?0 -
you haven't answered my question. here is my question. since having updated to Lion, I have noticed that opening a session from finder while capture one is not open will open both the previous session and the session I clicked to open, why does this happen and can I disable it?
"open in new window" is the command for starting a new session while keeping the current open session from being closed. unrelated to my question.0 -

I just answered your question, I replayed it extensively before replying, but if you find it not related, it is your call. You could give the suggestion a try. Maybe my answer is not clear enough; feel free to ask for clarification.
It is not related to Lion by the way, it is whether CO6 uses a session exclusively or not.0 -
Nope still does it. box is unchecked. 0 -
I have the same issue and never got it resolved. Nobody understood what I was talking about and so I just live with the previous session opening first and waiting for the clicked session to open. Just know that you're not alone. 0 -
This is how I think it works.
Assume you have made a session in which you have checked the 'new window' box. Next, you decided you don't like that anymore and uncheck that feature from the program's preferences. Opening the session with 'new window' enabled with revert that preferences setting at first launch, and open next to another session. Again disabling the preference box and closing the session will also remove the setting from the session.
At next opening of that session, CO6 will open that session exclusively.
YMMV. Just my 2cts.0
