How do I use the 'filters' with 'Image location'?
Hi again, I had another question which I wondered if anyone had come across.
I have changed the 'filters' tool below the 'catalog collections' tool so that it can filter by rating, keyword, and 'image location'. It defaulted to 'places' rather than 'image location', but the former seems awkward to use as you can add a 'place' but then there doesn't seem to be a way to add the sub-hierarchy such as region/state/etc. I also don't really need such precision so I altered it to filter by 'image location' instead.
I can now use the little '+' button to add locations, and then drag images from the browser (ctrl+B) onto the locations I specified and it indicates they have been added by the count increasing.
However, if you then activate the filter by location, no images appear. This is puzzling to me and I can't figure out how to get this to work. Even more strangely, a lot of images that don't have their location set seem to default to my name, which is presumably the copyright tag that C1 is adding to the images when I import them.
Should I just be using keywords as a location tag? How does anyone currently approach this with C1?
Thanks again!

I get the same results using V9.0.1
If I enter something in the IPTC location field C1 knows about the entry but has a count of 0 and shows a full count for all existing variants with my Name - presumably from the IPTC Contact "Creator" field.
If I add the same Location to another variant, the count moves to 1 when it should be 2.
Looks like a bug. Best to create a Support Case.
My session was created a week ago using V8 and converted to V9 last night. There might be some sort of issue related to that - however the Location field content and the field added as a filter were undertaken entirely in V9 just now.
I think I would still use Keywords for your purpose although they might seem to be somewhat redundant IF IPTC information is implemented well and used correctly across which ever library products you find yourself using in coming years.
