File Import Source Location
Is there a way within 5.1.1 to navigate to a new source location within the Import function? This would seem to be a simple thing to do, but it appears to be beyond me...
Thanks in advance

I just looked over the issue I am a bit surprised as you are. CO5 sets a one time location in the program's preferences and that's it. I removed the preference file and that triggered the 'import from' dialog again. Makes one for a nice feature request (CO5/Mac does have a From field in the import dialog with a browse option).
Edit: I already did the feature request for you.
Edit2: I got a reply from Phase One: feature already exists. How? In the Import Images dialog, in the Locations tool's title bar click on the triangle at the right; select "Always Show From Options". I learn every day. 😄0 -
To be fair to everyone, this "hidden" feature wasn't always the case. The default always showed the "From" field and when an update changed that, it even eluded me for a few short moments 😄 0 -
I did manage to discover this hidden setting but unlike the previous version one's choice of the 'import to' location is not 'sticky' and it will revert to 'capture one lib' next time you open it. Also as was the case in the previous version the import window resizes back to the default thumbnail and window size each time you open it which is a pain.(after setting it up to suit). I did refer this to a support case but nothing has changed yet.

Version of CO you use? Have you updated recently?0 -
Hello Paul.
I'm using 5.1.1 build 37310. Screen size is 1900 x1200. I view the program full screen i.e not a reduced window. When I start the import dialogue the window comes up small (1024 x 768 at a guess) with tiny thumbnails. I pull the window out to about 2/3rds of monitor size then resize the thumbs to suit me. This is all lost when quiting and restarting the program or the import process. The thumbs also scale up and down strangely as one changes the import window size, they do not maintain my set size as the window size is changed.
Regards Ray0
