Write lock indicator appears thumbnail

How do I re move the write lock indicator from a jpeg file? Ive found the image on the Drobo and changed its write permissions to Read n Wright for all. No help. Do I need to tell CO to re-scan the file to change the icon? I want to add keywords and change the Engine from 8 to 9 but can't. Is that a corrupted file? Thank you

    Do you have "Enable JPEG Editing" checked in the "Image" tab of the Preferences dialog?

    What is the size of your file (in pixels) ? C1 can't give access to edition of files too small or in gray scale.

    I have two jpegs I'm looking at right now one is 294 Kb and the other is 2.6MB, both I can not write to. Enable Jpg editing is on! Ill look for others and see about the small size issue, what is the size that is too small? Thank you both!!

    I had some TIFF 450x300 pixels that C1 could open, but without access to editing.

    We're talking pixel size, not size in bytes.
