Display issue with 5.1.2
I just installed the latest update and I now am not able to display any CR2 files.
I took a few quick shots for a customer this morning and what I have always done is copy these with another software to facilitate my workflow that does renaming/numbering. If I go to the folder that the CR2's sit in it will display any tif or jpg files but not any of the CR2 files. If I go to the import window it will show them but I have never had to import them via Capture One before.
In the system folder area it will show one level of folders off of the root of the drive but nothing further unless there is a folder that has C1 files in it. I have only updated one of my computers and am reluctant to do the other.
One oddity that I had when trying to download the update is that when I downloaded from the US site the file was always corrupted and I got the same result off of two different computers. When I downloaded from the Europe site all was fine.
Is this something that I should submit to support or am I just doing something wrong.....
I had to resort back to Adobe Camera RAW to get the job done this morning.
Thanks

Just curious, make few shots, copy them with Windows Explorer (not your regular tool) to your disk. Can CO 5.1.2 display the CR2 files? 0 -
Did you uninstall before the update?
Since the files are on an external volume, I'm guessing it is only that volume that is causing the issue? If you move the files to the C: do the subdirectories still not show?0 -
I did not uninstall before the update. I view update as just that, something that I can simply update my existing program that already reside on my drive.
My drive D is not an external storage device, it is simply a partition of my internal drive. I copied the CR2 files into a folder in C: but the only folders that will show are the ones below the "users" folder. I have booted and rebooted to no avail. I cannot even get some of the folders from the root of C: to display in C1 but is fine in every other program.
So if I have to uninstall and reinstall (if you feel this is a potential solution) do I have to deactivate the serial number first. I get real nervous about this stuff as I have lost a couple of activations to this because I didn't deactivate.
I even put images inside of the My Pictures folder and when I select that folder all it does is say loading images.

Don't be nervous and don't worry about your Activation, it will not be effected.
Uninstall;

Although this is just an update and uninstalling isn't necessary, there is always potential for a file to be incorrectly overwritten in the update process. Uninstalling and reinstalling is a much cleaner solution.0 -
The uninstall and reinstall did the trick. I will admit it is a pain to have to do that for every dot release/update. Thanks for your help. 0
