backup images

Lately I had a problem while I shoot suddenly the software crashes down and delete all the images that I shot.
I wanted to know if it is a common problem.

Also I was wondering if there is a way to shoot to the memory card in the back at the same time while working with capture one on the computer? or a way to backup the pictures in capture one to another hard drive while shooting?
can the software save the pictures in 2 places at the same time?
