Calling Compare Variant on Single View Mode

Hi,
is there a way to call a Compare Variant on Single View Mode ?
Or is there any way to call with a shortcut an image ?
The goal would be to navigate through images on Single View Mode and at any time to call a Compare Variant or an specific image in order to compare.
