Nikon Live View Flipping
I am setting up a Nikon to digitise books in a downward looking setup on a camera column with Capture One 7 version 7.2.3. The live view image for D610 I am testing the setup with keeps flipping 90° at the slightest touch on the camera body. This also resets the zoom and makes adjusting the camera in Live View almost useless.
I turned off auto rotation in the camera. I see the orientation settings in the C1 7 Camera menu. But they are greyed out.
Any advice on how to prevent the constant live view flipping? The final setup will likely use a D810. I will post again here if it also does the image flipping.
Thanks,
Cliff

There has been quite some developments for Nikon tethering in Capture One since CO7. I suggest you try CO8 (30-day trial) to see whether this improves your setup. 0 -
I have switched to C1 8.3.1 using what will be the final D810 camera for this tethered copy stand installation. It is still doing the Live View flipping at the slightest bump (or no bump at all) rendering LV useless for focusing.
It does this with auto file rotation on or off.
Here is a video showing the behaviour. (Link will expire 2015/03/09)

Is there any way to lock the orientation in LV?0 -
I suggest you get in contact with support. 0 -
Support said there is no fix and that they are working on it. 0
