V6 slower than V5 with canon tethering?
Just had first full day of shooting with V6 yesterday - (after a few tries - empty name!) totally new installation, cleared batch queues, preferences, etc.
It seemed that tethered capture was a bit slower than V5, but I know it is supposed to be better in V6. I have open GL off and everything else is the same as I would run a V5 session.
This is on a Macbook Pro i7 processor and 8 GB RAM, not expecting tethered miracles but just feeling that its a little slower than the older software. Anyone else see this or can suggest what I am missing?
Thanks.

Maybe an "USB powered hub" will improbe performance.
In other forums I read that it is a must, both Canon and Nikon.0 -
I do use one - it works great with V5 even when shooting really fast. I've been raving about it on this forum. The problem is with V6 and the same setup I sue in V5 (USB repeater) it seems slower.
Previews are much slower to de-pixelate too. Batch renaming is much faster finally but other things are slower and I'd like to figure it out b/c speed was one of the big features for V60
