Out of Memory C1 6.4.3 Win7 x64
Hi All,
Having issues with C1 continually crashing saying I'm out of memory...
System & C1 Specs
I'm runing Win7 x64, 8GM Ram Quad Core Intel 9550 CPU - CaptureOne Pro 6.4.3
Strange thing is when the submit error report comes up I check the details and notice that C1 is saying my system is running x86 which is definitely not the case here...
I've searched these forums and do notice that most of these issues relate to users which are running 32bit OS...I'm definitely running x64bit Win7 so I can't understand the issue.
Any help would greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Just checking...
Technically you can run the 32-bits x86 version of CO6 on Win7 x64. Please check you run the 64-bit version of CO6.0 -
Hi Paul,
Yes, confirmed it's running x64 version. I just downloaded V6.4.3 x64 thinking that I might of accidently installed 6.4.1 x86 but no...it's all running x64.
I'm very conscious of running x64 software where I can...0 -
Just to add some more information that might help is I currently have a OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD installed as the main OS drive. According to this forum sites recommendation was to change the Paging File to "No Paging File".

Could be related, or maybe not. The 'no paging file' suggestion is as old as the paging file, that is since the introduction of Windows NT 3.1 is the summer of 1993 (yes, I was there when it happened 😂 )
(Windows NT is the mother of all current Windows systems like XP, Vista & Win7).
To cut a long story short, neglect this kind of advice unless you know exactly what you are doing. When Windows does not need the paging file, it won't access it and won't affect performance. With an SSD drive, I would worry less about the paging file than ever before.
So my advice is to restore the paging file configuration. Your 8 GB is not that extremely large for a x64 system and you can easily run out of memory.0 -
Okay...you can close this one off.
It's definitely a result of having the paging file set off. I've re-enabled paging file and let windows manage it...all seeks to be working okay now. 😂 😄0 -
I have no problems with my c1 6.4.3. Im running 16 gb of ram. 0 -
