Yes, I agree, I would also like to see this suggestion implemented.

    Here's another (related) one:
How about a "paint bucket", let's say you've got a BIF, just fill that sky with one click.
Off course this tool has settings like:
    - Anti-alias on/off
    - Border softness
    - Tolerance

    😊

Wouldn't it be nice if the value of the slider you're changing would increment by 10 when holding [shift] ?
I'm often using the scrollwheel to adjust values, sometimes it would improve speed to change a them a bit more faster with each step.

Why not just use click on the slider bar at the approximate value you want and then fine tune using the scroll wheel?

A factor of 10 is, for many adjustment tools, quite a large change in the effect applied. I'm not at all sure that to have a "standard" relative shift rate across all tools would be useful and I doubt there would be universal agreement from users on selected bespoke rates were they to be defined and applied. Have a look at the options available for keyboard command mapping in the Preferences/Keyboard shortcuts for some perspective on my observations.

But mostly, if one is using a mouse or similar pointing and scrolling device in the first place, the functionality seems to be irrelevant since you can already click on the marked line for the value you require and then use the scroll wheel to refine it.

My thoughts, for what they are worth.

@SFA : I understand, it's a matter of work method you prefer of course.
I like to watch and evaluate how the image changes while I adjust parameters by just "scrolling" and keeping my eyes on the image.

Of course, when it comes to EV values [shift] might be 1,0EV

You can still do that by scrolling the slider bar or making the numeric value field active and scrolling within that facility using Shift to give you the tenfold changes if desired. I suppose it's possible there may be some performance benefit sometimes in that the recalculation would be performed once whereas when scrolling through a range of values the system may start to recalculate at some point if it detects a 'pause' in the scrolling activity. I would imagine it would be a marginal benefit at best if there is one.

Your description of how you like to work pretty much matches mine I would guess. I almost invariably use the scroll bar facility while watching the effect on the image. On the rare occasions when I find I would like to be watching both the tool adjustments and the effect on the image at the same time I use a floating tool to put everything in direct view.
