Local Adj. Brush

C1 Ver 7 Pro - Is it different than C1 Ver6? I paint on the mask but I don't have any control over the mask area. Nothing changes; everythings the same as the background layer? Is there something I'm missing doing?

    Nevermind I figured it out. After watching the video on the 'local adj. brush' I hadn't selected "edit selected layer" on the exposure panel; who knew?

    Well, that was a subject in the forum after V7 was first released. Even in V6 I thought it was a good idea to select the approprite tool tab and so on to make it much easier to be visually aware and in control of what one was doing.

    There is a lot of context sensitivity in the way the C1 user interface has been designed and I am finding that in many aspects, not just local adjustments, taking some time to understand is proving beneficial to faster working with the system - but that then means that understanding the context sensitivity of commands becomes ever more important.

    Or so it seems to me.
