Sorry - I'm a Media Pro and CO Sessions user.

All I've seen in CO for "import catalog" is the ability to import a Media Pro catalog.

Yes doesn't work for C1 catalogs. I imported the usual way the raw files and then copied one by one the image adjustments.

I really think that importing image adjustments from one catalog to another would be a great feature. One never knows what can happen. Sometimes one wants to reorganize ones image organization. If one has to copy one by one image adjustments that's fine for 20 images, not so fine for hundreds or thousand of images.

I tried to copy the content of adjustment folder to the new catalog folders, dosn't do anything.

I tyried to click/drag images from one catalog window to the other one, doens't work.

Nobody from P1 has an idea ?

The problem I had to solve is that one :

I have a catalog dedicated to Painting pictures on my windows workstation
I did a shooting on my new macbookpro (for tether mode, PC isn't the best solution) in another catalog (local catalog one the MB pro). I did some basic color temperature adjustment and croping and then process and export.
Then, back home, I wanted to import all that job in the painting pictures catalog of my workstation.

And I didn't find the trick. Hopefuly there was only 48 images to transfer, so I copied the raw files in their folders, import them in the workstation catalog, and then copied/paste one by one all pictures adjustment from the laptoip catalog to the workstation.

I didn't find another way to do it. Did I miss something ?

    Please help.

Firstly I had better mention that I don't use the catalogue feature currently as I prefer sessions. By some way.

However I can see some potential for using catalogue(s) for processed item archiving.

Remembering that the introduction of catalogues is a relatively new departure in C1 I would guess that some of the tools cataloguers may wish for are likely to be part of later developments rather then the earliest releases - if there is enough interest. However this is a User to User forum, primarily so I would advise you to address Phase One directly by creating a support case with your suggested requirement(s). This is how they gather, assess demand and manage such ideas.

Meanwhile, in your situation, I think I would use sessions for your work on the road and then import the session(s) to the catalogue on your return to base. Whether the Mac to Windows transfer complicates this I cannot comment upon as I only use Windows but as far as I know it is not a problem. It would give you an effective way forward today - no need to wait for further application development.

I also don't regularly use C1 tethered although I am familiar with tethered shooting. I have tested tethering on my Win 7 notebook using 2 Canon Cameras and it seemed to work fine. I was not pushing things though - no long cables for example.

    HTH.

Thanks. On sessions one can import catalogs. Never used sessions in fact.

For tethering, my experience on PC laptop is only with P56+ DB. I encountered those problems : after a few shots no more DB adjustments are available (speed or aperture or auto mode selection) and after a few more shots no more shots possible. Ans also no way to have power supply for the DB via firewire/pcmcia card. I think the issue is not with tethering on windows systems, it is simply fw issues on PC laptops. I had also issues woth FW on PC laptop for sound devices like MOTU fw souns devices.
