Canon 400D won't connect
Hi,
I downloaded C1 pro (3028) and tried to connect it to my Canon 400D for remote shooting, but I get an 0c00080 error (connection failed) when I connect my camera. Is this an restriction of the demo version?
I can connect with Canon's EOS utility for remote shooting, so my cables and camerasettings are OK.
Powerbook 1.5 Ghz.

eprom,
A Trial Version is the fully functioning version.
From the Release Notes:Known issues
•Tethered capture with the Canon EOS 30D and 400D is not supported
You can use the Canon program to establish tether and then have the write to
location be a Capture One Session.
Direct Tethering in PRO will likely be added for these models in future update.
Sincerely,

Thank you. I didn't read the release notes yet. 🤭 0 -
Take care, that you install very latest canon drivers from DPP, Canon utility or Camera Window !
As USB-Drivers from OSX ( 10.4.x incl 10.4.8 ) are very very very buggy !!
This is reconfirmed with APPLE and CANON PROFESIONAL SERVICES!

I have no problem connecting with my Mac and programs like iPhoto, EOS utility or Aperture.
The way I work now is a combination of EOS utility for remote shooting and Aperture for editing those photo's. But I was looking for a program that could do both, but I guess I stick with Aperture.0 -
well,
give it a try to work with C1 ( even though I am not paid for advertising C1 😊 ) !! tethered support for the 400 will come, I'm sure ! ( and as interimsolution you can use canonsoftware to establish a connction between camera and C1)
I am surveilling the market for almost 8 years now, and C1 is technical-qualitiy-wise still unbeaten!
maybe you take one raw, export it with aperture and with C1, separate it with Photoshop and have a closer look on the cyanchannel in the darker parts of it. there you'll see the lack of information and smothness of aperture and the other competitors ! ( disable all filters before exporting, like unsharp masking or noise reduction...)
btw. we work tethered with the Canon mkI+mkII for about 600-1000shots a day !
