Newbie Question regarding starting to use capture one pro
Hi All,
I have the evaluation version of Capture One Pro 8 setup on my windows machine.
I have take a set of photos using a Sony nex 7 and a Sony A7r2, I loaded all those as a session in Capture One but when i go to edit those photos i cant seem to edit any of them. Non of the exposure or any sliders seem to work. I even moved 1 photo from the Captures folder to the Selects folder but I still cant edit them. Do i need to use the Capture One express sony raw converter to be able to edit these photos? Or am i missing any step in setup up my photos or even setting up Capture One Pro that i cant edit my photos.
Regards
Abhishek

Open Capture One menu > About and check the mode you are running. Most likely you are running as Capture One DB. If that is the case, deactivate from the same menu and restart.
Edit: on Windows it is the Help menu.0 -
You should be able to edit them. The Sony version can edit Sony only. The pro version should be able to edit all (including Sony). The DB version (free for use with Phase One digital backs) can only edit Phase One DB images. You could click on About.. to check that you aren't inadvertently running it as the DB version and change to run as the trial Pro version instead.
