have you tried a full uninstall and reinstall of the program? I've experienced the same issue in the past with Leaf, and that usually fixed the issue.

Now I have unistalled 7.1.3 completely and installed 7.1.2. A nightmare comes true. The problem still exits! Any idea what I can do?

    Something to eliminate;

Have you checked for shadow warnings, exposure warnings, focus warnings, etc?

Apologies if it sounds too basic to be asked but I have found it to be very easy in many areas over many years to miss something that might be "obvious", especially if it is something one is not entirely familiar with if, like me, you don;t use them often and might not even think of them.

    HTH.

Hi Grant, yes I`ve checked shadow warnings, etc. The problem still exists.

Hmm. Very odd. No red at all in the previews but the main image is fine when editing an output?

Here is a link to give you an impression about my problem
The two pictures below left are video previews. No problem with videos. It`s frustrating. I need a solution NOW! And must install lightroom. Hopefully the problem will be solved. Thank you very much for all your effort. Peter

No Idea if this has any relevance and I don't know Sony equipment but if I import a jpg file from one of my Canon cameras the ICC entry in the Base Characteristics is set to "JPG File neutral" and the Curve to "Linear Response".

Changing to another ICC profile will give notable colour shifts, mostly on red, but nothing as dramatic as your screen shot shows.

    Maybe something to experiment with?

As Grant suggests it seems the wrong ICC profile is selected. You are using a raw profile for a RGB file.

Would be interesting to know whether CO7 did this in error or that you altered the default profile for that file type.

You are right, but that was not the problem. I calibrated the monitor and now everything is ok. Obviously C1 misinterpreted the old calibration data. That was a short night! And lightroom is not my favourite software. Good to know that the C1 community is so helpful. Thanks a lot for your proposals! Peter

    Peter,

I would think that a monitor calibration problem would have appeared more obviously across all images and the UI, not just the images being editied - especially jpgs.

However I have seen some odd things in the past, though not with exactly the same symptoms that you saw, when upgrading video card drivers especially when 2 (in my case different) monitors were involved.

I have often thought that the colour accuracy systems based on what might be a chain of look up tables between different pieces of software offers opportunities for building in complexity and confusion. All the more confusing when it appears to compromise only part of the application you are working with as in your case.

I am pleased for you that you have the problem resolved.
