99% of my Clarity Tool work is in Neutral. Is there a way to change the default from "Punch" to "Neutral?" Thanks, jp

You can select a new default from the down-arrow in the top right corner of the Clarity Tool.

Sorry Christian, I must be missing something. Are you saying that to keep the clarity tool in neutral I should click "apply defaults" in the popup box? I tried this but it doesn't work for me.

Thanks for interesting topic. How can I get C1 to use Neutral in the clarity tool as default setting for all images and all different cameras, or am I missing something?

Defaults are currently controlled on a 'per camera' basis, as tools will effect different file type in very different manners.
There is no global default settings for the software as a whole.

After setting clarity to default to neutral for both my cameras, the setting does not stick for other images already in the catalog *even if no clarity adjustment has been made*. It should make no difference whether the image is already in the catalog, especially if no clarity adjustment has been made. The tool should now be ready to go at neutral. I think this behavior should be changed.

When you set a new default you are met with the following prompt:

You have changed the default adjustments for new variants but existing variants including the selected variants stay unchanged.

This explains that the behavior you have just described is known and intended. If you would like to apply the default to all existing files, select all existing files when defining the new default.
