Issue on noise - CO4 vs CO3

Hi there,

My friend showed me CO3 (CaptureOne 3). I downloaded your trial version 4 to make some test and I was surprised with this result. The same NEF file (Nikon raw), when processed, is creating more "noise" (is it the proper term?!) in version 4 than version 3 .

This picture is two images, processed by CO4 (left side) and CO3 (right side). You can see the difference here. I doing mainly HDR pictures, results is worst.

Any ideas or suggestion? I can send you my NEF if needed. thk!

  I tried diff. settings with the sharpening tab but I can't get close to the result of CO3 (even with the soft and standard CO37). Any ideas?

  Nothing wrong with starting a new thread or discussion about noise in CO4 in general or compared to CO3, but have you done a search already? Try 'noise' in select this forum. You'll be surprised. 😄

  You were right. Mmmm..... That is such a shame; I just love C1 4.1.1, really nice options, very nice GUI but this noise issue is killing it. Doing HDR, it is of no use.

  I like also the image quality of C1-4 in low ISO but on high ISO it's not usable because of bad noise reduction performance!
