    well I think you should ignore the less than helpful reply above....FWIW, reseting adjustments does NOT clear the processed icon (as it shouldn't, that would be my preferred behavior so as to know the file had been processed)...and as this is highly irregular...

    ...when you say taken into C1, are you importing into an already occupied folder? Is the card you're importing from formatted before shooting? Does this ever happen with a new folder? Seems as though an issue with discrete filenames within a folder COULD cause this....although in my experience, I've not seen this with many Canon files....there has to be a reason, more information would be helpful to those who might respond....

    Thanks for the response John4. I agree about the "processed" indicator but not when there has been no process!
    The card is always formatted before use and then yes I do copy from the card to the same folder every time but the file names cannot be the problem as they are .NEF and sequential.
    I will try a new folder for the next set. I notice also that the process for auto loading metadata is very slow and the indicator is not active.
