Importing A Lightroom Catalog

Hi. I'm new to C1 9 and am doing the trial. I notice that it can import Lightroom Catalogs. I have not been able to find out much about this. Is it a simple and low risk process? What comes with the imported catalog...keywords, edits, etc?
Sorry for my ignorance on this. I will keep searching too.

    I believe it will bring in your keywords. I think that some of the editing done in lr won't transfer over though because its a totally different raw processing engine.

    Ok. Thanks for the replies. So my current Lightroom structure is folder based. In order to make my Capture One structure look similar I think I will need to convert the folders to collections in LR and then they should import with the similar structure. Without taking this step my 17,000 images will come over in one big group. Does this sound logical?

    I don't know LR good enough, if you mean with folder structure that those are actual folders on the OS and LR uses the files as referenced files, then those will all be there in C1 as well.
    Make a backup and just try it out. 😄
