This issue involves Canon 1Ds Mk II files; and is specific to Arbitrary Rotation and Cropping tools. Images process fine if these tools are not used.
This had been identified as a Bug and sent on to Developers for a Fix.
No confirmation as yet that this is fixed in approaching v3.7.3 release.

    Sincerely,
    kc

I reported this "bug" on first release of C1. It was in the product the first day it supported the 1Ds MII. I have been waiting impatiently for a fix for a very long time.

I just downloaded the latest release candidate and tested my files and there is still no fix for this bug....as you say..this has been a problem from day one and it is a little surprising that phase one cannot fix this...not one of the other converters has this problem...

I am also waiting for a fix to this. I photograph art work and a tweak on the crop after a little rotation would be extremely useful. Sometimes, it is the only reason I need to open an image in Photoshop.

I have submitted a support case under 7.3.3 and have tried this out on 7.3.4RC but the bug is still there.

    Many thanks

i just downloaded the latest CO update and the cropping with arbitrary rotation is still not fixed...i must say that althought i love the software it is more than just a little disturbing that this bug is something that phase one has not addressed after all this time...this software costs a signifiicant amount of money and phase one should not just pass on this bug...stan

I reckon that by now, this should be fixed.

I have a support case opened ages ago which concluded with Phase One telling me that it was in a bug list. I updated the support case after using the 7.3.4RC to advise that I still had the same trouble and was advised that technical support is not offered on the RC.

I notice that other RAW converters do this and overall, the margin between Capture One and other applications is becoming much smaller. I am starting to share my RAW conversion much more with ACR these days; getting ready to switch.

How about a reply from a phase one representative to shed a little light on this topic...the canon 1ds mark 2 has been out quite a while and phase one is officially supporting this camera...can we ever expect a fix to this?
    thanks...stan

Well, I have just donwloaded and installed 3.7.4 and can report that this is not fixed although I imagine PO already knew it.

Using rotate and crop on my 1D Mk II works fine. Using Rotate and crop on my 1Ds Mk II is not. It produces ugly black triangles around the photo.

According to the manual, I also think that I am still missing a few pixels from the output image size on both cameras.

    Thanks
