Hi, I own the P45+ and use it for primarily cosmetic campaigns and related advertising. Recently my computer went down so I purchased the MacPro 3.2ghz w/Leopard.
Question: next week I'm shooting a 6 figure (usd) campaign. Being that I'm responsible for the images...can I trust using a "work around" for this project.
Am I expected to buy Capture One 4? After spending some $40,000.00 on this back already, I would expect Phase One to give us something that works, at least until 3.7.x is ready.
Will Phase One be responsible if images are corrupted while shooting with a "work around."
Kind Regards
Michael

Hi, I don't imagine it would be difficult for you to find someone to set up an OS 10.4.x partition on your notebook in preparation for your shoot. In any case even if you got Phase One to take responsibility I can't imagine any client accepting that, esp a 6 figure (usd) one.

Hi Micheal,
Capture One cannot corrupt raw files, it treats them as read-only. The only bug you need to worry about as a DB owner is the CF card importer bug. Just copy your images from the card manually in the finder and you will not have a problem. Shooting tethered with a phase back in leopard works just fine.
BTW Capture One 4 is free for all C1Pro users. Just activate it with your product key.0 -
Hi, thanks for the great suggestions. I just talked to my digitech and because he doesn't love the idea of adding a partition though, I think we will just pull out the leopard start up drive for the day and put in a drive with Tiger...Safety first.
all the best
