I was hoping this was resolved in ver 12. I am still on 11 and will be waiting for 13 now. Perhaps this fall?

It seems unduly hard to find software for Windows 10 that will just compare two folders (on an SD card and the Capture folder of a session) to see if all the files have been transferred. Seems like a simple request, but....

Some mentioned WinDiff might work on Windows 10, but it was last updated in 2016 and started originally in 1992 and I don't think it is under further development. Seems like this should be a built in feature for an OS as old as Windows.

I cannot speak to C1's speed on excluding duplicates since it is a problem I just do not have - import form a CF card after back up card gets reformatted so there are never duplicates.

But I have used WinDiff since 1992 and continue to use it to this day. Does a fine job even with its 1990s UI. But I did find there are some alternatives that you might prefer (heck I might 😊. I found this list of alternatives:

Another thing you can try as an alternative to the "exclude duplicates" option is to apply a filter in the import dialog. You can click on the ... to the right of the search field at the top right of the import dialog, and add a search criterion of the date being later than the existing most recent file so [Date] [is after] [appropriate date here].

I also have been experiencing slow down import for several month now on Windows 10. I am using latest capture one and windows. 😕 ☚ī¸
