C1 4.5 - bugs
Hi!
Does anyone have problems with C1 4.5 quitting unexpectedly A LOT while working?
I have a MBP 2.4GHz and 10.5.5 OS X.
C1 quits while downloading images from CF card, while browsing through files, while doing nothing and (a funny one) while quitting the software it actually displays that it has quit unexpextedly.
I have sent numerous reports to P1.
Please fix the software asap.

hi,
deleting the captureOne.col45 file in the "Capture one Library" folder helpd over here.

I doubt deleting a CaptureOne session file will do any help?

Please go ahead and submit a case to support. I'd be intersted to see the specifics of your machine as well as process' that you have going along with Capture One 4.5 PRO. Obviously this isn't normal behavior for the software, so we would be more then happy to explore the possible cause and get you up and running proper like.

I am also having trouble starting up C4 ,it worked once ,then after restarting it crashed in the process of loading files ,so after ditching all the preferences and other stuff I restarted it tried to select a output file and it hung. I have had to go back to C3.7 , as C4 is just not stable enough ,I am running 10.5.5 more processing power and ram than you could shake a stick at and it simply fails to work . 0 -
Well I was a big supporter of 4.0. Liked the interface very much and was looking forward to Pro especially for the tethered.
Loaded onto MacBook Pro ( 4gb) and also my Mac Pro (6GB) both on the latest 10.5.5. Using it mostly thethered with Mamiya and P20. I can't keep the software running on either for more than about 20 seconds. Spent a week now with support deleting files etc etc etc.
The only solution that worked , albeit slower than 4.0 was to run it from a new user account- with nothing else running. Then it was suggested I migrate my life over to the new account.
Crashes seem to happen either for no reason at all but normally when making the slightest adjustment . I get the impression it has been developed on a 32gb ram mac because it certainly will not run on either of mine.
Gone back to 4.00 -

I had similar problems as you (on MB pro, 2.2, 4Giga ram, osx 10.5.5)
Deleted the thing, switched back to 4.1, than saw that it does not support multiple
display profiles (odd colors on one od the external displays) upgraded to 4.5 (not pro) which solved this problem, but it is a lot more unstable than 4.1... so i guess it's the best
thing to stay on 4.1 for the moment!

Yes, I had the same problems on a Pentium 4 3.4MH - Windows XP SP3 system with 4GB of RAM.
Version 4 worked, and works, very well. Version 4 uses excessive processor time, even when it does no tasks. Opening folders takes a very long time, if it ever finishes and processing may or may not finish, after a minute or so.
Yes it politely tells me that it died unexpectedly.
I removed it several times and activated it with different options. Tried with my old license or with the 30 day test for Pro. Accepted all, just did not work well.
So, I am back to version 4 that works very well.
Support from C1 was fast and polite. They suggested that I wait for version 4.5.1. this is what I am doing.

I had C1 PRO 4.5 on a Mac Pro (Dual Processor, 5GB RAM, Leopard 10.5.5) working good for a day... and then never again since then!!!
In multi screen mode I only get one window (the viewer window) and have no idea how to get the other main window to display.
Also can not find the Library tab... so can not access any of my files. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also multiple crashes happen.0 -

I suggest you in this case to uninstall CO 4.5 and install it again. Instructions for uninstallation:
In multi screen mode, the main screen should be under the new Viewer screen.0 -
I just installed C1 4.5.1 DB. I have uninstalled the previous version as explained above.
So far it works very nice.
