Image indexing or counting at start
Hi
Every time I start C1 Pro 7 the "All Images" tab from the "Catalog Collections" counts all my images and during this time the software is very slow and unresponsive.
Is there a way to avoid this?
Thanks

In my experience C1 opens with the last collection I had selected when I closed it. As a test, perhaps try making a user collection of fewer files and leaving it selected when you close C1, or if that has no effect, make a new catalogue and experiment with just a few files to test if what you left selected last time is what is selected when you open the programme. I'm only speculating, but if your large catalogue isn't working as you'd expect, something may be wrong with that particular catalogue file. 0 -
Hi,
It sounds very like a problem that I have already raised with PhaseOne.
In my case I had created a catalog of only 2553 images and created a selection of Groups and Collections (not very many) and whenever I tried to open that Catalog, CaptureOne Pro would take several minutes and in 'All Images' was selected you could see the number of images steadily increasing.
When I created an identical Catalog (same images etc.) but without Collection, Groups etc. it would open in just a few seconds.
I have created 'Case' (116210) with PhaseOne back in December2012 and have not had any feedback since June 2013 so I don't know if PhaseOne are looking into the problem or have just forgotten about it.
If your catalog has Groups, collections etc. try deleting them and see if your catalog opens much more quickly.
If it turns out to be the same problem I would appreciate you creating a new 'Case'. It may just get something moving to overcome the problem.0
