EIP problemes
Hi I´m used to shoot with Hasselblad and a Phaseone back .
My clients often wants me to pack the files as EIP . i´ve tried that on my last job , but the digital section called me and said that the white balance wasn´t applied on all the pictures ...! It was on my computer ! Could it be because they don´t use the setting folder and work directly from the EIP file or could the info get lost during one of many backups (i doubt that !) ?
On my next job I have to do some Ski action pictures so I´m going to use the Canon 1DsMarkIII . I just tested my workflow and it appears that the canon Raw files stay in .CR2 and won´t pack into EIP . Is that normal ? Is EIP only made for Phase one backs ?
Thank you very much
Carl

Version of Capture One you use? Because, IIRC, in the latest release (5.0.2) or perhaps from 5.0 onwards, EIP is supported for non-Phase One backs.
I am not familiar with EIP, so somebody else might confirm/deny? You can now also incorporate the ICC profile with EIP.0 -
Hi thanks for your reply . i´m using capture one 5.0.2 .
If you check into the preference in the EIP section it says : Never pack / Pack Phase One images . So i guess it only works for Phase One images .

DSLR images are supported in EIP files from version 5.1 which is currently in beta. 0 -
Carl,
Your white balance settings would be saved int the EIP as the setting file would be included in that EIP. Beyond that, if you were shooting with a Phase One Back and you use the "Set" feature, the White Balance will be default to the back so no RAW would derive from that unless you changed it after capture.
In regard to the Canon, as stated above, you will have to wait for the EIP format with other files.0
