C1 for Sony and Phase One back?
I use the Sony A7r2 and an IQ160 back. I've been using C1 9 pro, looking at upgrading I'd save a few quid if I was able to just use the Sony Pro version. But I can't find anything that says wether or not the Sony version will still handle the Phase One files.
Anyone in the have any idea?
Cheers, Xavier.

I think you will find that the Sony version only handles Sony ARW files in its RAW repertoire.
However a Phase One Digital Back would normally be used with the DB (Digital Back) version - which is free. But only useful for Phase group Digital Backs.
If you want the convenience of using a single version for both then you need the full Pro version which, given the costs I would estimate for your hardware choices, will only add a miniscule amount to your total budget in the overall scheme of things. However you do have the option to work with the files from both cameras without the need for further expenditure.
That said don;t forget that the upgrade cost for Pro from V9 to V11 is quite reasonable and not such a huge amount if you take advantage of some of the Ambassador program discount options (there may be other promotions too.)

Pro (for Sony) supports both Sony cameras and files as well as Phase One cameras and files. Admittedly not the clearest title, but as Pro has support for it, it makes sense that Pro (for Sony) would as well. 0 -

Well, something new to learn every day
And yes, of course, you are right it is an entirely logical option since the DB version would support the DBs anyway.0
