Reconnecting settings to images ...
Some of my image files are not showing their original CO settings. The Capture One Settings, Cache and Proxie folders are all in the right place, and all of their numbers correspond with the original file number. But selecting any of the images from the image folder doesn't connect with the settings. Hate to process these images all over again! Hope someone can help.
I'm running CO 7.1.5 on one Mac using OS 10.6.8 and another using 10.9. Other than my minor problem with certain image files, CO 7.1.5 works great with both!
Best wishes to all for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

If you are working with sessions, try to create a new sessions file and then navigate to the image folder. If that works, then your original sessions file is corrupt. You can try to repair it but chances are that it will get corrupt again. I gave up using sessions because I found myself recreating a new sessions file almost everyday just to view my images. Support was not able to figure out what was causing it or what could fix it. 0 -
very typical. and how much to purchase. 0 -
I just saw your reply in another thread, just like this one. Over there, i replied with all due respect, but this respect is starting to wear off when you continue to make such comments.
We are all just users, just like yourself. And we're looking for help here, trying to help one another, not make snarly comments addressed to the company Phase One.0 -
Snarly comments?
I was giving the poster my solution to view the changes made to an image when using sessions. I eventually started using catalogs because I couldn't get sessions to work for any length of time without becoming corrupt. Some users do not report any issues but the ones who do run into the issue very often. I thought I was being helpful.0 -

One of the problems of not quoting the post that one is replying to is ....
SamC if you were responding to HCS I think you may have misunderstood what what going on. As far as I read it it does not look like you were responding to post 3 but if you were then I apologise for misunderstanding.
HCS was replying to the brief post immediately above his (post #3) and observing that the poster had also posted elsewhere. However it transpired that he or she had managed to post something like 19 responses on different threads in about the same number of minutes (I may be exaggerating slightly there).
That is slightly suspicious and the entire content looks very much like spam although a little more on topic than a typical spam robot might achieve.
Being able to clearly identify the post # to which one is replying would be useful as an alternative to quoting the entire comment or wasting time (when it is not that relevant to the response) to quote and edit in order to shorten a long quote.
Anything that would help avoid misunderstanding has to be worth doing. IMHO.
If others agree maybe we could make a proposal for the availability of post numbers in the thread?

Ah, i see i caused some confusion.
I'm sorry, i was indeed replying to the post directly above mine, no intention at all to make real contributors to this forum look bad, i apologize for that.
Later, it was brought to my attention (and i spotted it myself by that time) that that particular poster (the one i was replying to) may actually be a spammer.
Next time i'll quote the piece i'm replying to.0 -
If you have problems with image settings not showing up in Capture One Pro try following steps:
1. Repair permissions on mac (Im using Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and it seems that CO7 sometimes has no permission to read write settings on images)
2. Repair the session file.
3. Open session and hopefully it will work (At least these steps solved my problem.)
If not ask PhaseOne again - it has something to do with permissions.0
