I have 11940 JPEGs and 361 TIFFs in my main Capture One catalog. What kind of files are you unable to import.

    - Removing spots and dust seems to be restricted to a certain number of clicks

For Capture One 12.1.2 this appears to be 100 spots (I tried it). Not sure if this better than any previous version. It appears to be an artifically set limit.

What kind of NAS do you have? I've heard a number of comments about Capture One NAS issues.

I am on NAS as well, my setup is as; my catalog is on my internal SSD, photos are on NAS. I have a fairly fast NAS with fast WiFi connection, meaning I can get stable 60MB/s reading.

Apart from slow loading of the images, I don't have any issue (for that I don't understand why showing previews are slow as all of them are saved on my internal SSD)

What kind of files are you unable to import?

Any other than RAW (jpg, jpeg, tif, tiff, png). The possibility to select any other than raw files is greyed out.

The problem when importing images is that I can't even select them. Just a few minutes ago, I tried to import 8 images, but I could select just one image at once. So I had to start the import dialogue 8 times... cmd-click and shift-click doesn't work anymore (it did till two weeks ago).

I asked the phaseone-support for the NAS and they recommended to save everything on the harddrive and to then backup on the NAS, what is definitely too complicated for me.

I think you will be really challenged by the minor complexities of Capture One.
You will be much happier with Lightroom.

But I don't want to!! C1 is much better for me, and going back to LR is the worst solution I can find. I'd prefer to find a solution in C1!

    Hi,
In the Capture One "Preferences -> Image -> Editing", did you crosschecked all the options (JPEG and TIFF in particular) ?

That’s good to hear, maybe we can help you.

Most of the behaviour you report is really odd, nothing like what other users experience.
So we need to sort out what part of your system is causing it. Once we know the source of the problem, we can dig further and look at fixes.

The most likely source is your NAS. Let’s try to confirm if that’s it.

Can you try a catalog and images not on your NAS, preferably with the NAS not even connected (as a Test, not a permanent solution) do you now get reasonable speed, able to import multiple images, import jpgs, pngs and so forth?

If yes, we start looking at the NAS configuration. If no, we investigate some more without the NAS.

The secret to fixing these kinds of issues is to reduce complexity by deleting parts until the source is isolated. Then fix that, and restore the deleted parts.

I hope that I'm just not understanding the question. I import both RAW and JPEG. Do you have the "hide JPEG" selected?

My imports into CO are much faster the LR and I'm using a 2013 iMac.
