is there a way to participate in the beta program? 0 -
As this demo happens in Nov the product must already exist. I suppose they want the 4 launch to be a forgotten memory so they're doing it differently. 0 -
This is a quote from a PhaseOne dealer website, announcing the launch of the new camera & CO5
"All NEW Capture One 5 PRO software. See how the switch from 3.7 PRO to NEW Capture One 5 PRO meets all your needs. Many of the NEW features added are the result from end users input. Once you've seen version 5, there will be no more concerns or worries from switching from 3.7 pro!"
Reading between the lines, does this mean all the angst we users have been going through for a couple of years was really because CO4 was secretly a complete beta programme and we were being used as unpaid testers? It would have nice to have been told!
It should be interesting to see what 'improvements have been made & requests incorporated' into the new all singing all dancing software. I look forward to next week0 -

It really would be good to get some information..
I mean.. we for example did upgrad almost all our computers to Snow Leopard already.. A simple downgrade is unfortunatly not possible..
If i know that it will last about 2 weeks - i can work around.. if i know that it will take 2 month.. i can downgrade the systems alike.. BUT.. information is the key!!!
I mean.. marketing this and that like apple and adobe are doing it are maybe not the right way to deal with upset customers..0 -

not exactly. The first versions of V4 were buggy, yes. But since V4.6 or so it's running stable and fast.

The quote...there will be no more concerns or worries from switching from 3.7 pro
... IMO referrs to some basic features of V3 that will be found in V5 again.
