    John,
Other forums have expressed the same findings when migrating to the 64 Bit Snow Leopard. The issue seemed to be a conflict with the Snow Leopard driver for USB 2.0 as best I can tell from other sources.

My slow connection problems came back today. I turned on my camera and it took forever to connect. There has been no changes or upgrades. Any ideas of what might be the problem. After the firmware upgrade things were perfect. Turn the camera on it connected in seconds. All of a sudden today it was back to about a 30 to 40 second connection time. I have tried every cord I have with the same results.

    Hi,

I found the problem! It takes somebody smarter than me to figure out why but the connection issue seems to be when I have a CF card in the camera. The fuller it is the slower it connects. The program must be reading the card for some reason that I don't know why slowing the connection time down. I can leave the card in the camera if it's empty and it connects right away. Put a card loaded with images it's like hitting the parking brake. Maybe it confuses the program some how thinking you want to import the images? The import dialog box has never appeared for me while tethered. by the way you get the same results with 4.83 or 5.0
