Had active program with V3.7.3 and after install v3.7.4rc1
now I have a trial copy again. This is getting to be beyond a bit of a joke and should be addressed by PhaseOne. We shouldn't have to reactivate software time and time again, with updates unless there has been a hardware change which in this case there hasn't been.
My copy of C1PRO version 3.7.3 was working perfectly and I just installed V3.7.4RC1 and it deactivated my software and now I have to wait again for my support case to be answered as the trial has finished and it wont process any images until it is activated.
Why does it always do this sort of thing out of the blue, reset of key information when nothing has changed apart from the normal updates to other software like Windows which is a constant thing. I have had issues in the past with hardware failure and had to get my registration count reset which is fine but it shouldn't deactivate you when you have a legally registered copy.
I know support sort this out, but for users that have paid for their software and are using the same information they should be able to activate software easier than creating unnecessary support cases every few months when updates happen.

So if you install the release candidate and it installs in your previously installed activated version of Capture One Pro then it deactivates your software, changes the machine id number and timesout the trial period. I had to completely uninstall the software and fortunately I had the codes from the previous install as I always keep them and reinstall version 3.7.3 and put the codes back in manually.
As Phase One don't support a Release Candidate, now that is a strange statement from the, which is what a Beta Release that they hope will pickup anything before the supposedly Live Stable Version is released (well that was my thinking and belief over the years of software releases), but they don't. Wouldn't even look at solving the problem and wouldn't reset activation for me to actually activate the software, even though I legitimately have purchased software licence and only run it on one machine.
So the moral of the story is don't install the Release Candidate onto your fully working machine at all, wait for the Stable (that's subjective) Release and do it that way. Hopefully it won't deactivate itself again.
Tech Support advised me to post this update in the forums, again because they don't support their own Release Candidate (Beta Version) software.
