I did not have a look with 4.1, but CaptureOne 4.5 is currently eating more than one GB of RAM on my computer from my 2 GB: 720MB by CaptureOne.exe and 450MB by ImgCoreProcess.exe
The picture size of the current folder opened in C1 is only 300MB!
However, when I switch to another bigger folder, the CaptureOne.exe does not take much more, about 750MB.

For a few days, I got a "out of memory" exception with an other folder of many gigabytes of pictures, among them many huge (>100MB) tiff files.

Anyway, IMHO, the memory is managed more by Windows and the .NET Framework than the Capture One tool itself...

If you get an "out of memory" message, it could be that you must adjust your virtual memory settings or reverse to the Windows default.

I tried both 4.5 PRO and 4.5.1 PRO. It looks like 4.5.1 needs more memory after running for a while. After working in a folder of more than 50 images, CaptureOne.exe swallows almost 900MB memory.

Does anybody else find this as well?

I have seen this in the Mac version and reported this to Phase One to look into. Have not use CO 4.5.x on Windows that much to be able to confirm but I am not surprised.

After downloading 4.5.1 pro...I got the out of memory - message way too often. C1 release notes stated that the new version should be more stable.
Sorry to say, but stable my ass ! Getting a bit frustrated with this.

Really miss the days while working with 3.7.8...

Anyway, I switched back to 4.5 pro...and all seems to be working fine now.

I switched back to 4.5 Pro as well. But I am optimistic, Phase One will correct this issue soon.

BTW, how long did it take Capture One 3.0 Pro evolve to 3.7.8?

I am not so sure about SOON judging by how long it took v4 to arrive.

I have gone back to 3.7.8 until I change my cameras.

Still trying to get 45.1 (or 4.5 for that matter) to get a good/fast work flow..........

    Hi Folks,
I have installed 4.5.1 on a 8gb system and it is very stable. 4.5 kept crashing and bringing up strange errors. 4.5.1 is as stable as 4.1 as far as I can tell. I was working a folder with about 200 40D raws in it and it didn't miss a beat.

Memory usage doesn't seem to be a problem, I haven't a out of memory error for many years.

Still trying to figure out how to get Pro to run rather than standard.

Must say that my previous post was a false alarm...

I just re-configured the memory usage of my OS (Win XP)...reinstalled 4.5.1...and all works fine 😄
