Using both LR and Capture One

Background:

I would like to use both LR and Capture One. Capture One would be my future software. I may edit using some of the special LR/PS features, I guess that I would have to save it as a TIFF but that is not the purpose of my post. I would like to reprocess some of my best photos under Capture One.

For LR, I have kept all my 50+ photos in separate folders basically by date. I am doing the same so far with Capture One Catalog and Capture One Sessions (love the option of sessions).

Question:

For reprocessing some of my best photos in C1, I would like to leave them in the same high level folder. Is there any downside to this? Better to do this under C1 Catalog or separate sessions.

I am learning a lot after only a couple weeks but I am trying to determine a strategy so I can decide to purchase Capture One Pro or Capture One Pro for Sony. I am asking if C1 has an upgrade from Capture One Pro Sony to Capture One Pro. If they do, I would take more time and just upgrade later.

    It does. Go to the Phase One Upgrade Store. It says there:

    Timor, Thank you. I do not see this option but that is only logical and good to know. I will probably start with C1 Pro for Sony. C1 Support Center should confirm.
