Wouldn't the most obvious source of information on how Mr. Munoz is getting something to work be Alex Munoz?

If he is writing about it, I would imagine that he might be willing to help you out. It's fairly plain to see that he is a big fan of the 645z and is advocating its use. Try dropping him a line.

Does C1 8 see the files on import?

Maybe he's using Pentax software for tethering and C1 8 has a watch folder?..

Drew, I am just wondering how he does it since we all know CO8 wont read DNG form the 645Z
As far as i know Alex Munoz is CO users since many years but currently he uses the Pentax gears

Again, reference the post I provided.
Just likely a DNG conversion to Adobe DNG or some trickery of the same sort.

Since he's not tethered through Capture One there's not too much magic here, just tethered to another software transfer and then an automatic conversion of sorts so that the file is recognized as an Adobe DNG… which is supported.

There's a few "Watch Folder" tools out there that can do this.
