It shouldn't be that slow! Are the folders on the same drive? Have you tried restarting your Mac?

I have found it going slow like that very occasionally, but not normally. I sometimes find that if Time Machine is running it slows things to a bit of a crawl.

    Thx for the reply
Session is on my boot ssd drive. IMac Pro 8core

I didn’t try restarting the computer. But I was originally working on an external usb3 ssd drive.
Then moved it to internal ssd drive
Also same issue when renaming a lot of image files 4000
Just trying to see if this is to be expected
I know that if I stay on the folder the files are in it slows the process down
But it used to be way faster

In my experience, batch renaming is usually very quick.

Same issue - moving files inside C1 is painfully slow. I end up just moving them using Finder, then telling C1 where to find the folder. Clunky but much faster!
