You can download the release notes for details from the same download page as CO5; look for the tethered section in the notes. Live preview is not supported for Nikon or Canon DSLRs.

I, like so many others have been receiving the Assertion Failed message. I am currently using Capture One Pro 5.2.1 with a Nikon D3X tethered to a Mac Pro running OS 10.6.8. Is there a fix for this situation? The message pops up after ever capture.

    Kind Regards

It seems (or appears) to be related to the OS X 10.6.8 update and affecting Nikon tethered shooters in particular. On the Capture One 6 forum you can find similar postings.

For what I know (despite being a OS X - Nikon issue?), Phase One is currently testing a CO 6 update that would solve the issue. For CO 5.x no update is planned as far as I am aware (and I would not expect one to be honest).
