Can this Places tool be any less intuitive?

I am sitting here banging on the APPLY button 902 times to paste the location change to each image. Yes, I tried using the Adjustment tool, selecting them all and hitting APPLY, but it only changes the first one. So, I tried it again, using menu selections vs keyboard shortcuts to copy and then apply to the same stupid end.

If I have multiple images selected paste the damn adjustments as someone would assume is going to happen I finally went into Bridge to fix it because this was causing me to drink. Use some common sense to how you think people assume a tool will work.

As an alternative to your approach you may want to consider that the Paste option allows you, for you convenience, to toggle between apply a specific change to all selected variants or a single image. It sounds like you have just the single image option set.

For bulk file processing where the fields all have the same values to be set this works very well. Where you need to add in bulk some values that are not the same for all variants it may still work well as you can re-select the images you want and then pick the specific values to be updated. However there are also times when the 'drag to value' method described below will make a better choice (in my opinion).

You can also open the list of available EXIF parameters in the Library Tab and drag one or a selection of images onto each value in turn.

I think the options are quite well described in the on-line help and if I recall well there is also a video that covers them competently.

Could it be that the "Edit all selected variants" toggle was switched off?

Paul_Steunebrink, that was indeed the problem. Thank you for pointing that out.
