Okay - this is driving me absolutely nuts...I need help...
Hello all:
I recently upgraded/purchased capture 4.0. The initial download was superb and that is what caused me to upgrade/purchase the product.
Then the other day I downloaded the update - version 4.0.1.xxxxxxx.
Ever since downloading this update, I cannot process any of my images. The software comes up fine (but it now takes up to 20 seconds for it to load and I have 4 Gigs of RAM on my Pentium IV Windows XP machine). I can make adjustments to my various RAW files - from any camera. But when I go to process the image, it doesn't let me do it. I depress the process button (and it gives no indication of being depressed, and nothing happens).
So just to be safe, I uninstalled and reinstalled the software - did it twice, but still to no avail. I cannot process my images, regardless of what I do, or what camera's RAW files I'm converting.
But what's even more strange is that every time I bring up Capture 4, I get this message indicating if, "I want to batch the 32 images I have in my Qeue?" Now I never batch process images with Capture 4 (never did yet), so why is this telling me this, and is it something that may be preventing me from processing one image.
Again, this has never happened before until I downloaded the latest 4.0.1 update.
Thanks in advanced for any hints, ideas, or suggestions...

Sounds like you activated in some way the batch-rendering.
This happens to me also. Just have a look if all the files are went to the batch-rendering section. the "three-wheels" right next to the "one-wheel"-batch icon.
In some way it is possible to activate that. Then all files will go straight in the batch section.
hope this helps....0 -
Go to the Batch tool tab (most at the right). See if there is a batch waiting (I assume it is) and see the status of the batch (button below either Stop or Start). If button is Start, status is currently stopped. Click button, it will start the queue to process. 0 -
what happens when I try to process an individual image is that it begins to go through the process, but immediately gives me the following error message:
Error Setting Source J:/RAW Images/Olympus E510 RAW Images/CaptureOne/Cache/Proxies/P6170005.ORF.cop - Error
What in the heck does that mean? I keep all of my images on a separate external hard drive (which is drive J.
Thanks...0 -
Ben, for the sake of trial and error, you could copy a few images to a local or internal disk (typically drive C) and see what happens.
Do you also have an external drive as output location? If you do, try to set this to an internal location as well for testing.
Does give this any positive result?0 -
But even then it does not allow me to process. I've been in contact with support and we've been emailing back and forth. They are trying to figure everything out, so it will take some patience on my part. 0
