web gallery fullscreen modification
Hi there,
wanted to ask you guys if there is a possibility to use the Theme "Fullscreen" without the photos being fullscreen stretched over the entire screen. What I mean I like the overall theme but I want to be able to say the pics are max. 1000px (long side) and that they will be shown with exactly 1000px and not stretched.
Right now the Theme Fullscreen is not useful at all because the pics are pixelated when they are blown up on the entire screen. You can increase the preview quality but then the pics are too big in filesize to use them in an online gallery. Decreasing the quality slider is not an option.
Are there any tips besides the online user manual?

When you create a Web Contact sheet we save the CSS and JavaScript files with the contact sheet.
You're welcome to edit them to fit your needs.
The only option is to edit the CSS to reflect default resizing to meet your needs, padding or percentages to fit your needs.0 -
Thanks Drew for the tip,
I've just started editing the CSS scripts making the gallery container the same size as the preview images.
But it would be great if this is solved directly in C1 Pro with just putting a checkmark to use the native preview image size.0 -
That would be a great feature request to make through a support case 😉 0 -
It definitely would be nice to have some more options in the web gallery exporter in C1 but if you want to save some time you can create your own web gallery templates quickly based off of the ones shipped with C1. From the Finder right click on the Capture One app and choose Show Package Contents. Navigate to Contents->Resources->Web Contact Sheet->Themes. The subfolders in this directory correspond to the templates in C1. We always use the classic template but needed to remove the image counter and add a link so our clients could download selects for comparison. I just duplicated the Classic (Dark) folder and renamed it something that made sense then edited the appropriate files. Remember to save a copy of your custom template somewhere else as you will lose it if you overwrite the application (i.e. software update, reinstall, etc). Next time you open the web gallery exporter in C1 select your new theme from the drop down.
This method saves quite a bit of time and avoids the problem of forgetting to update the appropriate files every time you generate a new gallery. It would be nice to see Phase One move this folder out of the app package in a future version and publish a complete spec for building custom templates but in the meantime it's fairly easy to work around.0 -

Yes it works well, but be careful to save it in order to reinstall it into C1 when a new version comes out…0
